Iraq Joins Global Dialogue as President Rashid Heads to UNGA 80

Iraq joins global dialogue as President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid travels to New York for the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80).

He departed on Saturday, leading a high-ranking Iraqi delegation to attend one of the world’s most important diplomatic gatherings. His participation marks a key moment for Iraq’s foreign policy and international presence.

According to a statement from the Presidency’s Media Department, the official delegation includes top government leaders. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein is part of the team.

Also joining are Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Health Minister Dr. Salih al-Hasnawi.

In addition, Minister of Migration and Displacement Evan Faeq Jabro and National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji are traveling with the group. Several other senior officials are also attending the assembly.

Meanwhile, President Rashid plans to meet with global leaders on the sidelines of the event. Through these meetings, Iraq aims to build partnerships and encourage regional and global cooperation. 

Clearly, the country is working to strengthen its diplomatic influence and promote mutual understanding.
