Iraqi and Saudi Leaders Strengthen Regional Dialogue in Key Phone Call

Baghdad – Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani spoke by phone with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Their conversation focused on enhancing cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The call also addressed ongoing developments in the region and the wider world.

Both leaders agreed on the need to deepen strategic relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. They discussed ways to expand joint efforts across various sectors, including trade, energy, and infrastructure. This approach aims to serve the long-term interests of both nations.

The leaders emphasized the importance of unity in addressing regional issues. They expressed shared concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Al-Sudani and the Crown Prince reaffirmed their commitment to continued humanitarian efforts.

In addition, they underlined the need for consistent communication between their governments. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the call reflected a mutual desire to coordinate more closely. Such coordination helps both countries respond to fast-changing global and regional dynamics.

Al-Sudani praised the progress made in recent months. He welcomed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support peace and stability in the region. The Crown Prince echoed this sentiment and voiced appreciation for Iraq’s growing role in diplomatic matters.

The conversation also included discussion about broader Middle Eastern challenges. Both sides agreed that joint leadership is essential for regional security. They vowed to keep working together to address threats and promote dialogue.

This call is part of a broader strategy to reinforce strategic relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Diplomatic sources suggest more high-level engagements are expected in the coming weeks. These steps aim to boost regional cooperation and shared economic development.

Clearly, strategic relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia remain central to peacebuilding efforts across the region. Both leaders appear committed to turning that vision into action.
