Girls of Karbala Celebrate Religious Commitment Ceremony

Thousands of young girls from Karbala participated in a large ceremony celebrating their religious coming of age. The event, part of the ongoing religious commitment ceremony, brought together 5,000 students from 121 different schools across the province. Families, educators, and religious figures gathered to mark this important spiritual milestone.

The ceremony took place at the Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas service complex. The location welcomed religious leaders, school officials, and proud families. The event showcased strong coordination between the Abbasid Holy Shrine and the Karbala Education Directorate.

Prominently, Sayyed Ahmed Al-Safi, the custodian of the Abbasid Shrine, joined the students for a group photo. This symbolic gesture reflected the shrine’s deep involvement in educational and spiritual development. Organizers noted that this year marks the seventh edition of the event under the “Fatimi Roses Project.”

The women’s religious speech division of the shrine handled the planning and execution. Their efforts ensured that the religious commitment ceremony ran smoothly and honored the values it represents. The project aims to strengthen the connection between young girls and their religious identity.

Moreover, the organizers highlighted the event’s educational and social goals. They emphasized the need to support girls through their spiritual journey. Officials praised the collaborative effort between educators, religious leaders, and families.

In addition, speeches during the event encouraged students to uphold moral values. The messages stressed the importance of responsibility, respect, and dedication to faith. Attendees applauded the initiative’s impact on both students and the broader community.

The religious commitment ceremony continues to grow in size and significance each year. Its expanding reach demonstrates the value placed on spiritual education in Karbala. This annual celebration not only honors tradition but also promotes unity and cultural pride among the youth.
