Iraq Hosts Arab Parliament Session, Signaling Renewed Regional Influence

Baghdad – Baghdad recently hosted a session of the Arab Parliament, welcoming parliamentary delegations from across the Arab world. This event highlighted Iraq’s regained stability and growing regional influence, with Arab nations increasingly confident in the country’s capabilities.

The gathering marked a key moment in showcasing Iraq’s current political and security stability, setting the stage for the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad.

“This event is a clear indication of Iraq’s stability in both security and politics,” said Nadhim Al-Shabli, an Iraqi and Arab MP. “Choosing Baghdad for this session sends a powerful message to the world and the region, showing that Iraq has overcome its challenges and is now firmly positioned to support key issues, especially the Palestinian cause.”

Arab MPs also expressed their appreciation for Iraq’s hospitality and the progress made in the country. Jordanian MP Atallah Al-Hnaiti praised Baghdad’s urban renaissance and security improvements, calling it “one of the most comfortable and safe capitals.” His colleague, Mujhim Al-Suqour, emphasized that holding this significant event in Baghdad underscores Iraq’s return to the Arab stage and its growing role in joint Arab initiatives.

This event is seen as a symbol of Iraq’s renewed presence and influence in Arab affairs, further solidifying its position ahead of the Arab Summit. Observers believe it signals Iraq’s return as a key player in Arab decision-making, facilitating important dialogues on regional issues.
