PM Al-Sudani and President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Talabani Call for Political Unity and National Cooperation

Baghdad, Iraq – Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among Iraq’s political parties during a meeting held Wednesday in Sulaymaniyah.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s office noted that the two leaders discussed the current situation in the country and stressed the need for all national forces to support the government’s efforts in implementing its program and achieving broad development goals that align with the aspirations of citizens across Iraq.

The statement further highlighted the importance of solidarity within the bounds of the constitution and law to address challenges and reinforce security and stability. The government also reaffirmed its support for ongoing dialogue in the Kurdistan Region as part of efforts to facilitate the formation of a new regional administration.
