President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid Highlights Iraq’s Investment Efforts and Regional Cooperation

On Saturday, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid of Iraq reaffirmed the country’s commitment to fostering investment and cooperation with both regional and European nations. He also expressed his hope for U.S. President Donald Trump’s success in efforts aimed at ending global conflicts.

In an interview, President Rashid discussed Iraq’s participation in the Davos Economic Forum, where he provided insights into the current situation in Iraq and the broader Middle East, emphasizing that the region’s stability is a key global concern. He also noted significant developments in neighboring countries, such as changes in Syria and the formation of a new government in Lebanon, expressing hope for the success of these new initiatives.

At the Davos Forum, President Rashid highlighted Iraq’s improving security situation and strong diplomatic ties with neighboring countries. He also focused on Iraq’s ongoing efforts to enhance services and infrastructure, noting that the country is actively working with numerous regional and European partners to attract investments for essential projects aimed at improving the lives of the Iraqi people.

“We are actively working to enhance our infrastructure and services for the people of Iraq,” President Rashid said. “We are collaborating with many regional and European countries to bring in investments and implement crucial service and infrastructure projects across the country.”

The President also emphasized Iraq’s sovereignty, stating, “Iraq is an independent nation, and all decisions are made by the Iraqi state. We maintain positive relations with all nations, but Iraq’s decisions are grounded in its sovereignty and national interests. The independence of Iraq remains central to our identity and our future.”

Additionally, President Rashid expressed optimism about U.S. President Trump’s efforts to end global conflicts, saying, “We hope President Trump will succeed in his efforts to bring peace and end wars. We welcome this initiative and believe it could lead to viable political solutions.”

In conclusion, President Rashid conveyed a sense of optimism regarding Iraq’s future, pointing out that the country has made sound political decisions, ensuring a stable political system and security. He reiterated Iraq’s commitment to continuing its efforts to improve public services, infrastructure, and strengthen its relationships with both its neighbors and the international community.
