New Civil Defense Centers Enhance Emergency Response in Diwaniyah

The new civil defense centers enhance emergency response in Diwaniyah, improving safety and preparedness across the province. The Ministry of Interior inaugurated four new civil defense centers equipped with modern vehicles and advanced rescue tools. Governor of Diwaniyah, Abbas Shail Al-Zamili, highlighted the importance of these projects. He explained that the province’s budget funded the purchase of firefighting and emergency response vehicles. Expanding civil defense teams across Diwaniyah ensures a faster response to emergencies.

Major General Mohsen Kazem, Director of Civil Defense, confirmed the launch of new centers in Sadir, Hai Ramadan, Al-Shafi’iyah, and Al-Badir. He emphasized that this expansion follows directives from the Minister of Interior to improve disaster response.In addition to these four centers, the ministry has planned eight more civil defense facilities. These projects align with the 2024 development strategy for enhancing emergency services. Officials aim to distribute resources evenly to cover all regions of the province.The new civil defense centers enhance emergency response, reducing response time to incidents such as fires and accidents.

With more teams stationed across Diwaniyah, authorities can prevent small emergencies from escalating into major disasters.Residents welcomed the new civil defense centers, noting that quicker response times could save lives and protect property. Community leaders stressed the importance of investing in safety infrastructure, especially as urban areas expand.Authorities continue to assess emergency preparedness across Iraq, aiming to improve safety measures nationwide. The new civil defense centers enhance emergency response, ensuring better coverage for Diwaniyah. These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to modernize emergency services and protect communities more effectively.
