Mosul Food Festival Brings Families Together in Its Third Edition

The Mosul Food Festival brings families together once again in its third annual edition. Held at Al-Muthanna Park in Mosul’s eastern side, the festival will run for seven days, offering visitors a unique culinary and cultural experience.

Every evening, the festival hosts well-known artists, cultural figures, and literary personalities. The event features a diverse program, including live performances, traditional music, and various competitions with exciting prizes. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of Mosuli, Iraqi, and Arabic dishes, along with a variety of sweets, tea, and fresh juices.

The Mosul Food Festival brings families together after sunset, with activities beginning at 9 PM and continuing until Suhoor. The event has gained popularity among Mosul’s residents and visitors from across Iraq. Families gather to celebrate the city’s rich traditions while supporting local businesses.

Ninawa Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil highlighted the festival’s importance. He emphasized that hosting the event for the third consecutive year strengthens the city’s cultural identity. He also pointed out that the festival helps boost the local economy and presents Mosul in its best light to visitors and tourists.

Saqar Mu’an Zakaria, director of the Baytuna Foundation, expressed excitement about this year’s edition. He noted that the festival aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for Mosul’s families and guests. With a variety of entertainment programs, competitions, and performances, the event attracts both Iraqi and Arab artists, much like in previous years.

Zakaria also stressed that the festival provides a space for small businesses and artisans. It allows talented individuals to showcase their handmade crafts while giving local vendors an opportunity to promote their products.

Thamer Maayouf, media director at Al-Noor University, emphasized the festival’s broad support. He mentioned that Al-Noor University, along with several local businesses and institutions, has played a key role in making the event a success. He described the festival as a social and cultural carnival where people can build strong connections while learning and enjoying a variety of exhibitions.

Meanwhile, festival-goer Ibtisam shared her enthusiasm for the event. She described how the Mosul Food Festival brings families together, offering fun competitions and unique displays. She expressed joy in experiencing the lively atmosphere and exploring the many products available.

With its combination of food, entertainment, and cultural showcases, the Mosul Food Festival continues to be a highlight of the city’s Ramadan celebrations.
