Weather in Iraq: Rising Temperatures Expected in the Coming Days

The Meteorological Authority has released its latest weather forecast, predicting a rise in temperatures across Iraq starting Tuesday. The weather conditions will vary by region, but overall, temperatures are expected to gradually increase throughout the week.

According to the forecast, Tuesday’s weather in central and southern regions will be mostly clear, with some areas experiencing partial cloud cover. In the eastern parts of the country, cloudy conditions will gradually improve as the day progresses. Meanwhile, the northern region will see cloudy skies with occasional light rain, especially in eastern areas, before conditions improve later in the day. Visibility will range between 8 to 10 kilometers, while rainy areas may experience reduced visibility of 5 to 7 kilometers.

Temperature readings for Tuesday indicate a slight increase across the country. The forecasted highs include 23°C in Baghdad, Diyala, Babylon, and Wasit. Sulaymaniyah will see a lower temperature of 16°C, while Duhok is expected to reach 19°C. Other major cities, such as Karbala, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, and Anbar, will experience highs of 22°C, while Basra is expected to be the warmest at 26°C.

On Wednesday, the weather is expected to be mostly clear nationwide. Temperatures will rise slightly compared to the previous day, continuing the warming trend. The conditions on Thursday will remain stable, with clear skies across all regions and another small increase in temperature.

Looking ahead to Friday, meteorologists predict clear skies throughout the country, with scattered clouds in some areas. However, temperatures are not expected to change significantly from Thursday’s levels.

With rising temperatures expected in the coming days, residents should prepare for slightly warmer conditions. The gradual warming trend will likely continue into the weekend, bringing a shift from the recent cooler weather.
