Baghdad, Iraq- Iraq’s Parliament is set to resume its sessions on Saturday, March 8, after a short break, according to an announcement from the Parliament media office.

Mohamed Anouz, a member of the Legal Committee, confirmed that evening sessions will be held during Ramadan to ensure legislative work progresses smoothly before the current term ends.

The upcoming session will focus on several important legislative matters, including a vote on the fourth amendment to the Industrial Investment Law for the private and mixed sectors. Lawmakers will also consider a proposal to reinstate the trial system, a measure recommended by the Ministry of Education.

Another key discussion will involve a report from the temporary parliamentary committee focused on protecting state property. Additionally, several new proposals will be introduced, including one to cancel the visa exemption agreement between Iraq and Cyprus for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

The Parliament will also review the second amendment to the Mukhtar Law and the fourth amendment to the law concerning medical and health professions.
