Proctosam Production Resumes for Local Market

The Samarra-based General Company for the Production of Medicines and Medical Supplies has announced the resumption of Proctosam ointment production. This ointment will soon be available in the local market after a long pause.

Mohammed Abdul-Qader Al-Naimi, the director-general of the company, confirmed the news today. He stated that production of Proctosam, an effective treatment for hemorrhoids, had resumed after a significant delay. The Ibn Hayyan factory and its supporting departments began production after securing the necessary raw materials for the current production plan of March.

Al-Naimi explained that Proctosam is widely used to treat both internal and external hemorrhoids, as well as anal eczema and rectal inflammations. It is also effective before and after surgical procedures. The ointment is known for its high effectiveness and precise manufacturing, meeting global standards and the pharmaceutical codes of both the United States and the United Kingdom.

The company plans to produce large quantities of Proctosam ointment. These quantities will be distributed through a specialized marketing agency to ensure a steady supply in the local market. Al-Naimi emphasized that this production will make the ointment widely available, catering to the needs of patients across the country.

This move signals the company’s commitment to improving the availability of important medical treatments. With the return of Proctosam, patients can expect a reliable remedy for a variety of anal and rectal conditions. The company aims to meet local demand by ensuring a consistent supply of the product in the coming months.
