Ministry of Agriculture Confirms Effectiveness of Foot-and-Mouth Vaccines

The Ministry of Agriculture has firmly denied reports about the spread of foot-and-mouth disease due to ineffective vaccines and treatments. In a recent statement, the ministry reassured the public about the quality and effectiveness of vaccines used in the country’s preventive campaigns.

According to Zainab Raheem, the media spokesperson for the Ministry’s Veterinary Directorate, there is no truth to claims that foot-and-mouth disease is spreading because of ineffective vaccines. She emphasized that the vaccines used in these campaigns are of high-quality origins. They meet all required technical specifications and undergo extensive laboratory testing.

Raheem further clarified that these veterinary vaccines undergo a strict registration process with the Veterinary Directorate before being used in any immunization campaigns. The Directorate ensures that the vaccines are sourced from reputable suppliers. This rigorous process includes checking the quality of each batch and ensuring its safety for use on livestock.

Among the vaccines used in Iraq’s vaccination campaigns, Russian-made vaccines are also included. These vaccines, like all others, must pass the necessary tests and meet international standards before they can be distributed to veterinary services for use. Raheem pointed out that these vaccines are regularly assessed to ensure they continue to protect animals from foot-and-mouth disease and other diseases.

The Ministry of Agriculture’s actions underscore its commitment to maintaining high standards in animal health. By using carefully tested and approved vaccines, the Ministry ensures that the country’s livestock remains safe from harmful diseases. These efforts play a crucial role in preventing outbreaks and protecting the agricultural sector.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Agriculture reassured the public that the vaccines used in Iraq are effective and safe. The Ministry continues to monitor animal health and vaccine effectiveness to ensure the safety of both livestock and agricultural production. The dedication to using high-quality, tested vaccines ensures that the country’s animal health initiatives remain robust and reliable.
