Deputy Speaker Al-Mandalawi Reaffirms Legislative Authority’s Commitment to Supporting Women’s Rights

Baghdad, Iraq- The First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, reaffirmed on Monday the legislative authority’s commitment to supporting and preserving women’s rights.

In a statement, Al-Mandalawi extended his highest congratulations and sincere appreciation to Iraqi women on the occasion of National Iraqi Women’s Day. He acknowledged their exceptional role, strong will, and invaluable contributions in shaping society, highlighting their sacrifices and patience in the pursuit of the nation’s advancement and pride.

Al-Mandalawi emphasized, “As we celebrate this day, we reaffirm our commitment as a legislative authority to support women, safeguard their rights, protect their status, and prevent violations against them. We also call for their empowerment at various levels—scientifically, professionally, socially, and politically. Furthermore, we are dedicated to honoring creative women, encouraging talent, and launching initiatives that strengthen their presence on the national stage.”
