Baghdad, Iraq- Iraq’s oil exports surpassed 103 million barrels in January, marking a strong start to the year. The Oil Ministry released official data on Wednesday, revealing detailed export figures. The report highlights Iraq’s continued role as a major crude supplier in global markets.

According to the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO), total crude oil exports reached 103,343,193 barrels last month. The majority of these shipments came from oil fields in central and southern Iraq, reinforcing the region’s importance in production.

Oil fields in central and southern Iraq contributed 102,310,248 barrels to the total exports. Meanwhile, the Qayyarah oil field supplied 722,965 barrels, adding to the overall volume. In addition, Iraq shipped 309,980 barrels of crude oil to Jordan, strengthening trade ties between the two countries.

Iraq’s oil exports surpassed 103 million barrels, demonstrating consistent production and stable market demand. Global energy markets continue to monitor Iraq’s output, as its oil sales play a key role in international supply chains. Despite price fluctuations, Iraq remains a crucial exporter in the region.

Energy analysts closely watch Iraq’s export trends, as production levels directly impact global oil prices. Increased shipments help Iraq generate revenue, supporting economic growth and infrastructure development. The government relies on steady oil exports to fund national projects and maintain financial stability.

Iraq’s oil exports surpassed 103 million barrels, underscoring the country’s strong presence in the energy sector. Moving forward, industry experts anticipate further developments in production capacity, transportation infrastructure, and export strategies. Iraq’s performance in the oil market will continue to influence regional and global energy dynamics.
