PM Mohammed Al-Sudani Reviews Progress of UK Visit, Calls for Swift Implementation of MOUs

Baghdad, Iraq- On Wednesday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held a meeting to follow up on the outcomes of his recent official visit to Britain and to review the progress of the memoranda of understanding (MOUs) signed during the trip. The meeting aimed at ensuring effective implementation of the agreements across various sectors.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of activating all joint sectors outlined in the joint statement with his British counterpart. He called for expanding the scope of cooperation, particularly in economic, oil, and industrial fields, as well as in agricultural development. Additionally, he highlighted the MOUs signed with British universities and private sector companies, stressing the need for their swift and efficient implementation.

The Prime Minister directed all relevant ministries to follow up on the MOUs and the associated agreements within their respective areas of responsibility. He urged sector-specific monitoring to ensure the practical execution of the memoranda and the achievement of tangible results.
