The announcement also follows another major operation involving former Deputy Oil Minister Ali Maarij al-Bahadly. Investigators recently seized large amounts of cash and several properties connected to that case.
According to judicial officials, authorities confiscated approximately $11 million in cash. They also recovered an additional four billion Iraqi dinars, valued at roughly $3 million. Furthermore, investigators seized multiple real estate properties during the operation.
