President Rashid Urges Cooperation for Diyala’s Stability and Progress

Baghdad – President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid called on local officials and political leaders in Diyala province to unite and work together for the benefit of the people. He emphasized the need to enhance security, stability, and peaceful coexistence within the province.

During a meeting with Diyala Governor Adnan al-Shammari and local council members, President Rashid highlighted the importance of resolving administrative challenges and addressing the people’s aspirations. He acknowledged the province’s past struggles, especially with terrorism, but praised the resilience of its people in maintaining civil peace.

The President stressed that Diyala, home to diverse communities, is a reflection of Iraq as a whole and must continue to strengthen its unity and stability.

Governor Adnan al-Shammari welcomed the President’s visit and shared a detailed overview of the province’s current challenges and solutions. He expressed gratitude for Rashid’s direct engagement with local needs. Diyala officials also expressed their appreciation for the visit, viewing it as a vital message of state support for the province’s development and social cohesion.

President Rashid’s visit to Diyala was focused on assessing the region’s service and security conditions, and he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the province’s ongoing progress.
