Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani emphasized on Monday the government’s commitment to empowering Iraqi women, aiming for them to excel in every field of life and work.
In his statement, PM Al-Sudani expressed that the position of Iraqi women is strong and progressing in Iraq’s democratic landscape. He highlighted that the government is continuously prioritizing the role of women, placing them at the center of development initiatives aimed at achieving growth and progress across the nation.
He further stated, “Our commitment is to ensure that Iraqi women achieve excellence in their performance, contributions, and accomplishments across all sectors, with equal opportunities to serve their country alongside their male counterparts.”
The Prime Minister also reflected on the significance of National Iraqi Women’s Day, which was officially recognized by the Council of Ministers. He reiterated that this day serves as a reminder of the government’s ongoing efforts to involve women in all aspects of national development. He noted that Iraqi women serve as leaders within their families, innovators in the workforce, scholars in education and research, and political representatives at all levels. He ended with a message of pride and hope for continued progress, wishing for greater prosperity and advancements for Iraqi women with each passing year.
