PM Mohammed Al-Sudani Emphasizes Caution in Declaring Official Holidays During Weather Fluctuations

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani has directed all governors to ensure that official holidays are declared only when there are legitimate and pressing reasons, particularly during periods of weather instability. This guidance focuses especially on the suspension of school attendance.

In a statement, Iraqi Government Spokesman Basim Alawadi clarified that Prime Minister Al-Sudani stressed the importance of providing enough time for the completion of educational curricula and maintaining adherence to the official academic calendar. This measure is aimed at ensuring that any changes to school schedules are justifiable and do not disrupt the overall educational process.
