PM Mohammed Al-Sudani announces end of CMC Chairman Ali Al-Muayyad’s assignment

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has agreed to end the assignment of Ali Al-Muayyad as chairman of the Communications and Media Commission (CMC), following a request previously submitted by Al-Muayyad.

According to a statement from the CMC, the Prime Minister has appointed Mohammed Abdullah Abdul Amir as the new chairman of the CMC. Abdul Amir is now tasked with overseeing the regulation of Iraq’s media and communications sector.

The statement further noted that Prime Minister Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude to Al-Muayyad for his efforts and dedication during his tenure as chairman. The Prime Minister acknowledged Al-Muayyad’s commitment to his duties and wished him continued success in his future endeavors, while hoping that the new chairman will maintain the same level of dedication and service to the country.
