The Iraqi Cement Company, under the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has reported a total cement production of 10.2 million tonnes in 2024, representing a 7% increase from the previous year.
Aqeel Abdul Ali Raddam, the company’s General Manager, credited this growth to effective strategies focused on improving productivity and operational efficiency, ensuring the company was able to meet the growing domestic demand for cement. With plants spread across the southern, northern, and central provinces of Iraq, the company’s widespread operations were key to achieving this milestone.
Looking ahead, the Iraqi Cement Company has plans to further increase production capacity and modernize its cement factories. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Iraq’s industrial sector and provide vital support for the country’s reconstruction and ongoing construction projects.
