Iraqi Archer Abdullah Saad Secures Silver at Asian Challenge Championship

The Iraqi archer Abdullah Saad has brought pride to Iraq by winning a silver medal at the Asian Challenge Championship for seniors in Incheon, South Korea. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Iraq’s growing presence in international archery.

According to the Iraqi Archery Federation, Saad delivered a remarkable performance against some of Asia’s strongest competitors. He demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and focus throughout the tournament. Facing elite players from multiple Asian national teams, he showcased both technical precision and competitive spirit.

Saad Al-Mashhadani, president of the Iraqi Archery Federation, praised the performance of the national athletes. He emphasized that the championship witnessed intense and highly competitive matches, reflecting the rapid development of archery across Asia. Furthermore, he noted that such results prove the potential of Iraqi athletes on the continental stage.

The federation confirmed that the Iraqi national team is continuing rigorous preparations for the upcoming World Championship, also set to take place in Incheon this August. Both technical and administrative teams are working tirelessly to ensure the players reach peak form ahead of the global event.

Al-Mashhadani also stressed that the Asian Challenge Championship provided valuable experience for Iraq’s archers.
