Iraq Reaffirms Commitment to Palestinian Rights and Condemns Aggression

Baghdad, Iraq – Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, reiterated the country’s unwavering stance in denouncing the Zionist aggression and upholding the historical rights of the Palestinian people on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, Prime Minister al-Sudani received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. During the call, they exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings.

The statement further noted that the conversation covered the current situation of the Palestinian people. In response, Prime Minister al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s consistent and principled position in condemning the aggression and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

In return, President Abbas expressed his deep gratitude to Iraq for its enduring support of the Palestinian cause, for providing various forms of aid to the Palestinian people, and for its ongoing efforts to foster stability in the region.
