Head of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has been killed.

Baghdad, Iraq – The leader of ISIS in Iraq, a fugitive long pursued by counterterrorism forces, was killed today in a coordinated operation involving U.S. forces, the Iraqi Government, and the Kurdish Regional Government.

President Donald J. Trump confirmed the development, stating, “He was relentlessly hunted down by our intrepid warfighters. His miserable life was terminated, along with another member of ISIS, in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Regional Government. Peace through strength!”

The successful operation marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to dismantle ISIS leadership and weaken its operational capacity in the region. The White House has reiterated its commitment to counterterrorism operations, working closely with Iraqi and Kurdish partners to ensure stability and security.

Further details, including the identity of the deceased leader, have not yet been disclosed.
