Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Al-Fath Alliance, has rejected reports circulating about the dismissal of Faleh al-Fayyad, the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), by the Coordination Framework.
In a statement, al-Amiri firmly denied the claims, stating that the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, who he represents, categorically refutes these reports.
Al-Amiri further clarified that the Coordination Framework’s leadership did not convene on Tuesday, and no such decision regarding al-Fayyad’s removal had been made.
Faleh al-Fayyad has led the PMF since 2015, after his appointment by then-Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, following his tenure in several key security roles, including National Security Advisor.
