Approval Granted to Upgrade Karkh and Rusafa Anti-Crime Divisions to Directorates

Baghdad, Iraq- On Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior revealed that Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani, has approved the elevation of the Karkh and Rusafa anti-crime divisions to the level of directorates.

In an official statement, the ministry announced that the Prime Minister approved a proposal from the Minister of Interior to upgrade the anti-crime departments in both Karkh and Rusafa. These two new directorates will be linked to their respective police commands in the Karkh and Rusafa areas of Baghdad.

The statement further clarified that the newly established anti-crime directorates will integrate with the broader Ministry of Interior’s efforts to execute the regional security plan. The Ministry emphasized that this move is part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing security, stability, and delivering quality services to citizens across the country.
