Iraq’s Largest Emergency Hospital Opens in Mosul

Iraq’s Largest Emergency Hospital has officially opened in West Mosul, bringing new hope to the people of Nineveh. Governor Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil inaugurated the Umm Al-Rabieen Emergency Hospital during a special ceremony. The event marked a turning point in the province’s recovery after years of war and destruction.

The new hospital includes 100 beds, modern medical devices, and six advanced operating rooms. Moreover, the facility represents Iraq’s most extensive specialized emergency center. It stands as a strong sign of Nineveh’s commitment to improving health care access.

Governor Al-Dakhil called the project a “qualitative leap” for the province’s health system. He also highlighted the crucial support of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. In addition, he recognized the efforts of the Ministries of Planning and Finance, the Health Directorate, and the construction companies. Their combined work made the long-delayed project a reality.

Transitioning from past difficulties, the governor stressed that this hospital will serve as a lifeline for Nineveh residents. Patients across the province will gain access to fast, reliable, and specialized medical care. This achievement shows that Iraq’s Largest Emergency Hospital can play a central role in saving lives.

Furthermore, Al-Dakhil announced the near completion of two other major facilities. These include the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital and the Al-Jumhouri Hospital. When opened, they will expand treatment options and ease the pressure on existing centers. Therefore, the health sector in Nineveh is moving toward a more sustainable and advanced future.

As Nineveh rebuilds, such projects carry both symbolic and practical importance. They restore community confidence and create a foundation for long-term recovery. Iraq’s Largest Emergency Hospital now stands as proof that investment in health care can transform daily life.

In conclusion, the inauguration signals progress not only for Mosul but for Iraq as a whole. Stronger medical services, better-equipped hospitals, and dedicated leadership are driving real change. With continued investment, Nineveh can finally leave behind years of crisis and look toward a healthier tomorrow.
