Prime Minister Al-Sudani met the spiritual leader of the Mandaean community in Iraq and worldwide to discuss vital issues. During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of preserving Iraq’s diverse social fabric. He acknowledged the Mandaean Sabians’ valuable contribution to Iraqi history and culture.

This meeting, held on Tuesday, brought Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani together with Sheikh Sattar Jabar Al-Hilu. Sheikh Al-Hilu leads the Mandaean Sabian community both in Iraq and around the world. Their conversation focused on the well-being of Mandaean citizens living inside and outside Iraq.
