Iraq Airline Ticket Discounts Benefit Thousands of Passengers

The Iraq airline ticket discounts program has helped thousands of passengers during the past month. The Ministry of Transport announced that many people from different eligible groups benefited from reduced ticket prices on Iraqi Airways flights. This initiative supports vulnerable groups and follows government directives to ease travel costs.

According to the ministry, 168 passengers with disabilities and special needs received discounted tickets. Meanwhile, 272 cancer patients benefited from significant reductions. Additionally, 12 wounded Popular Mobilization fighters took advantage of the discounted fares. These numbers reflect the ministry’s commitment to social support through the Iraq airline ticket discounts program.

The discounts also extend to retirees, with 516 beneficiaries receiving a 25% discount on round-trip tickets, valid twice per year. This effort aligns with regulations set by the Prime Minister and transportation ministry guidelines. The ministry stated that these measures aim to ease travel for specific groups and help improve accessibility.

For disabled passengers and those with special needs, the company applies a 50% discount on single tickets, allowing two uses per year. Cancer patients benefit even more, with a 90% discount available twice annually. These generous rates show the government’s dedication to supporting critical health and social groups through the Iraq airline ticket discounts program.

The Ministry of Transport encourages eligible passengers to take advantage of these reductions. It also continues to improve travel conditions for all citizens, ensuring fair access to affordable air transport.

The Ministry of Transport continues to evaluate and expand discount programs to reach more citizens in need. These efforts demonstrate Iraq’s commitment to social welfare and accessible travel for all.
