Iraq Wins Top Honor for Hajj Services

Iraq Hajj delegation award recognition continues for the third consecutive year. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has honored Iraq with the Diamond Tier of the Labaytom Award. This is the highest accolade for countries that serve pilgrims during the Hajj season.

This year’s award also went to the delegations from Turkey and Malaysia. The prize highlights countries that show excellence in organizing logistics, delivering healthcare, guiding pilgrims spiritually, and ensuring their overall comfort and safety.

Iraq’s Hajj delegation received praise for its outstanding organization and dedication. The group’s consistent performance, with previous Diamond Tier awards in both 2023 and 2024, confirms Iraq’s leading role in supporting the annual pilgrimage. The repeated honor reinforces the country’s efforts to improve state institutions and public services.

The Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, brings millions of Muslims to Mecca every year. Each nation’s delegation plays a key role by offering logistical aid and religious support to its citizens. Iraq’s delegation, in particular, has stood out due to its commitment to excellence and discipline in managing large-scale pilgrim operations.

Iraq’s Hajj mission described the award as a powerful sign of international respect. It signals the world’s appreciation of Iraq’s devotion to providing comfort and dignity to pilgrims. The achievement shows Iraq’s organizational growth in the wake of many challenges over the past years.

The 2025 pilgrimage season welcomed more than 1.6 million Muslims from 171 nations. Among them, over 1.5 million came from abroad, while more than 166,000 joined from within Saudi Arabia.

The Iraq Hajj delegation award reflects both pride and progress. It affirms the nation’s ongoing dedication to religious service, operational excellence, and international cooperation during one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world.
