Coordination Framework Confirms Election Date and Strategy Shift

Baghdad – The Coordination Framework has reaffirmed its commitment to the scheduled election date of November 11, 2025. During a meeting held on Monday, the political alliance also announced a new electoral strategy. This decision reflects a major step as Iraq moves closer to the next parliamentary elections.

The group held its 225th meeting at the office of Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri. During the session, members confirmed their readiness for the upcoming vote. They also emphasized the importance of staying united after the elections conclude.

At the center of their announcement was the scheduled election date. The Coordination Framework made it clear that there would be no delays. This stance aims to build public trust and ensure a stable democratic process. Holding elections on time, they believe, reinforces Iraq’s political structure and public confidence.

In a notable strategic shift, the Framework will contest the elections using multiple candidate lists. However, once the elections end, they plan to regroup under one parliamentary alliance. That alliance will continue to operate under the name Coordination Framework. This approach allows them flexibility during campaigns while preserving long-term unity.

Besides electoral matters, the group also addressed recent international news. They expressed condolences following the death of His Holiness the Pope. In their message, they described him as a figure held in high spiritual regard. Their statement acknowledged his global influence and deep respect across faiths.

As Iraq prepares for another round of national elections, the political scene is heating up. The scheduled election date stands as a critical milestone. By sticking to that date, the Framework hopes to set an example for responsible governance and democratic consistency.

Iraqis will be watching closely in the months ahead. The choices made now—both in timing and strategy—could shape the future of Iraq’s political landscape. The Coordination Framework’s confirmation of the scheduled election date marks a defining moment in that process
