PM Mohammed Sudani Leads Key Meeting on Electricity Sector Plans for Summer 2025

Baghdad, Iraq- Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani recently led an important meeting with the Electricity Sector Team. The meeting’s primary goal was to discuss the government’s preparations for the Summer 2025 plan. In addition, the team reviewed billing procedures and the ongoing digital transformation of the sector.

To begin with, Al-Sudani stressed the need for a reliable electricity supply, especially during peak summer months. He highlighted that the demand for electricity tends to surge during this time, making early planning critical. Consequently, the Electricity Sector Team was tasked with ensuring that measures are put in place to avoid any power shortages.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister addressed the issue of billing procedures. He urged the team to focus on improving the efficiency and accuracy of the billing system. By making the process more streamlined, the government aims to eliminate delays and errors, making it easier for consumers to manage their accounts. This improvement will also help reduce public dissatisfaction with electricity services.

Another key topic discussed was the digital transformation of the electricity sector. Al-Sudani pointed out that modernizing the sector’s infrastructure and adopting new technologies are vital for improving overall service. This transformation will allow the sector to operate more efficiently, reduce operational costs, and provide better customer service.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of integrating these changes into the broader strategy for the electricity sector. The government is working towards creating a more sustainable and reliable energy system. By implementing modern technologies and refining operational processes, Iraq will be better prepared to meet future challenges in energy demand.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister instructed the Electricity Sector Team to prioritize these initiatives. The government will closely monitor the progress and offer support as needed. Through these efforts, Iraq hopes to ensure a stable electricity supply for the Summer 2025 and beyond.

In conclusion, Al-Sudani’s leadership in the meeting underscored his commitment to improving Iraq’s electricity sector. By focusing on long-term strategies and embracing innovation, the government aims to provide a more reliable and efficient energy service.
