PM Mohammed S. Al-Sudani Orders Follow-Up on Key Projects in Baghdad

Baghdad, Iraq- On Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani directed the local government in Baghdad Governorate to closely monitor the progress of projects under its responsibility, particularly the four major sewage projects.

In a meeting with Baghdad’s Governor Abdulmutalib Ali Al-Alawi and the head of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Ammar Farhan Al-Hamdani, they discussed efforts to enhance the development of the capital’s outskirts, implement critical infrastructure projects, and improve essential services for the city’s residents.

Al-Sudani specifically highlighted the need to follow through on four key sewage projects—Sab’ Al-Bour, Abu Ghraib, Al-Wahda, and Al-Nahrawan—as well as initiatives involving new cities, hospital and school construction, and the development of the capital’s entrances. He stressed the importance of adhering to project timelines and ensuring that work is executed with precision.

The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of effective teamwork to achieve tangible results that citizens can directly benefit from, adding that completed projects would strengthen public trust in the government’s efforts.
