Baghdad, Iraq – Iraqi-born designer Suhaila Al-Tamimi recently returned to her hometown of Basra to unveil a collection that merges the region’s rich heritage with a modern twist. The designs, influenced by Basra’s vibrant colors and traditional patterns, showcase Al-Tamimi’s ability to blend local authenticity with global influences gained during her time abroad.
“We are thrilled to have Suhaila Al-Tamimi here,” said heritage enthusiast Tamara Al-Attiyah. In an interview with 964media, she praised the uniqueness of the collection. “The beauty of this show lies in how it blends the authenticity of Basra with the global influences she has absorbed while living abroad,” Al-Attiyah added.
