Baghdad, Iraq- Hammam Hammoudi, head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, emphasized the significance of deepening cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait, while the Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s efforts across multiple sectors.
According to a statement from Sheikh Hammoudi’s office, he welcomed Kuwaiti Ambassador Hassan Mohamed Al-Zaman for discussions on Iraq’s latest political and economic developments, as well as preparations for an upcoming summit in Baghdad.
Sheikh Hammoudi highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral relations, stressing the pivotal role both nations play in fostering regional stability. He also noted that the summit presents an opportunity to strengthen Arab and regional ties while reinforcing Iraq’s key role in addressing shared challenges.
Ambassador Al-Zaman, in turn, reaffirmed Kuwait’s ongoing support for Iraq and underscored the importance of sustained collaboration for the mutual benefit of both countries.
