Jordan Rejects Allegations of Strikes on Iraqi Militias

Jordan denies claims that attacks on Iraqi militias originated from its territory. The country actively rejects any involvement. Meanwhile, regional tensions rise as armed groups circulate allegations.

The Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the allegations lack any basis. The General Command emphasized that Jordan will not become a battlefield. Furthermore, it will not allow threats to its citizens, land, or airspace. Consequently, Jordan maintains a firm and clear position.

Kataib Hezbollah claimed that U.S. warplanes and drones launched attacks on Iraq from bases in Jordan. The group insisted that this claim has been “confirmed beyond doubt.” However, Jordan denies claims of involvement entirely.

Jurf al-Sakhar in Babil province experienced three strikes since Saturday. On Monday, one PMF member died and another suffered injuries. PMF reported that U.S. forces conducted the attack. On Saturday, two people died and three sustained injuries during an earlier strike.

In addition, PMF positions in Akashat, Qaim district in Anbar province faced another attack on Sunday evening. That strike killed two members and injured five more. These repeated attacks highlight the ongoing volatility along Iraq’s borders.

Analysts warn that unverified allegations could escalate tensions between neighboring countries. Jordan continues to assert that no military operation uses its territory against Iraq. Consequently, diplomats remain active to clarify claims and prevent further misunderstandings.

Observers also stress Jordan’s strategic role in regional security. Any use of its territory for attacks could spark wider conflicts, affecting both military and civilian populations. Jordan denies claims to maintain stability and prevent misinterpretation.

Overall, Jordan denies claims of involvement in the recent strikes and reinforces its neutral stance. The country urges verification of all reports before drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, Iraq monitors developments and coordinates with neighbors to secure its borders.
