Iraqi Trade Minister Leads Delegation to Baku for Talks on Strengthening Economic Ties

visit at the head of a high-level delegation. The group includes prominent Iraqi businessmen, investors, the head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, and the Director General of the Foreign Economic Relations Department at the Ministry of Trade.

Al-Ghurairi stated that the purpose of the visit was to engage in discussions with Azerbaijani officials to strengthen economic and trade relations, boost trade volume, and explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation will hold a series of meetings with senior officials from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy. The talks will focus on establishing meaningful partnerships between businesses from both countries and leveraging the geographic proximity of Iraq and Azerbaijan to improve economic cooperation.

Al-Ghurairi emphasized that this visit is crucial for opening new avenues for collaboration and increasing Iraq’s trade exchanges. He also highlighted the importance of attracting more foreign investment to Iraq, with the aim of advancing the country’s economic interests.
