Baghdad, Iraq- The General Company for Iraqi Ports reported that in January 2025, a total of 3,474 containers, weighing 79,992 tons, were exported through Iraqi ports.

Farhan Al-Fartousi, Director General of the company, stated that this achievement came as a result of efforts to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading operations, as directed by the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi.

The exported goods included a variety of national products, such as dates, paper and aluminum waste, oil derivatives, soybeans, and vegetable oils.

Al-Fartousi noted that the diverse range of products reflects the growing contribution of Iraqi ports to the national economy and stressed the importance of continuing these efforts to strengthen trade and support local industries.
