Eid al-Adha Health Readiness Strengthened by Kurdistan Health Ministry Ahead of Holiday

As Eid al-Adha approaches, Eid al-Adha health readiness remains a top priority for the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Health. On Tuesday, the Ministry introduced urgent health directives to safeguard the public during the holiday, which begins on Friday, June 6.

To begin with, the Ministry directly instructed all public hospitals and health departments to implement continuous emergency coverage. It asked each location to create special monitoring committees to track services and ensure quick responses to medical needs.

Moreover, emergency departments will function around the clock. Each facility must maintain full staffing levels, including doctors, nurses, and a support staff, throughout the entire holiday. In this way, the Ministry aims to guarantee uninterrupted care.

Additionally, health authorities must keep all ambulance teams on standby. They have already secured fuel supplies to support emergency transport operations without delay.

The Ministry also directed medical supply centers, laboratories, and pharmacies to continue working during the holiday. As a result, residents across cities and towns will have access to essential medications and tests at all times.

Meanwhile, blood banks and chemical treatment facilities will operate without breaks. These services are essential, especially during a period that often sees an increase in emergency cases.

In support of Eid al-Adha health readiness, inspection teams will monitor animal slaughter areas. These inspections will prevent violations of health and safety guidelines during this sensitive period.

In addition, dedicated health teams will inspect drinking water, monitor disease risks, and ensure food safety in public places. They will work closely with local authorities to maintain high public health standards.

Importantly, the Ministry will send emergency health teams to tourist zones. Their mission includes providing on-the-spot care and managing urgent incidents effectively.

All hospitals must carefully document patient visits and treatments. This ensures accurate records for follow-up and accountability.

By taking these steps, the Ministry shows strong leadership and a commitment to public welfare. Through careful planning and effective coordination, officials hope to maintain calm and control.

Clearly, Eid al-Adha health readiness reflects a broader strategy. The Ministry wants to protect every citizen, ensure smooth operations, and respond to every need this holiday season.
