Baghdad, Iraq – A 90-day emergency plan has been initiated to increase oil production in Dhi Qar, announced Saeed Zghir Shalgha, the Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company, on Friday.
Shalgha stated that the plan includes the addition of five new wells, aimed at enhancing production capacity. During a visit to the Nassiriya oil field, he confirmed that the company is ramping up its efforts in close coordination with the Ministry of Oil to meet set targets within a tight timeline.
He further revealed that national oil companies are providing crucial technical and logistical support to strengthen production and ensure a stable supply. Several key projects are underway, including the first phase of the gas treatment project at the Gharraf oil field and the ongoing gas gathering and compression project at the Nassiriya field.
Shalgha emphasized that the company follows a “production-first” strategy, using digital monitoring systems to track progress. Regular updates and reports are submitted to ensure that projects align with government objectives, ultimately aiming to boost oil revenues and increase exports.
