Baghdad, Iraq – Basra crude oil prices showed positive movement over the past week, despite experiencing a slight decline during Friday’s trading session.
On Friday, Basrah Heavy Crude closed with a loss of 36 cents, settling at $68.22. Despite this drop, it posted a weekly gain of $0.44, marking an increase of 0.65%.
Similarly, Basrah Medium Crude saw a decrease of 36 cents in its last session, closing at $70.83. However, it also recorded a weekly rise of $0.44, which equates to 0.62%.
In broader market movements, Brent crude futures rose by 70 cents, or 1%, reaching $70.58 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed by 63 cents, also 1%, closing at $67.18.
These fluctuations highlight the ongoing volatility in global oil markets, with both Basra and international crude prices seeing mixed results but overall weekly gains.
