Baghdad’s Urban Vision Shines in New Entertainment and Exhibition Projects

Baghdad’s urban vision took a bold step forward with the inauguration of two major development projects. The city unveiled the Al-Qanat Entertainment Complex and the Model Habibiya Exhibition Center. These projects aim to transform the surrounding areas and enhance public life.

According to Baghdad Municipality’s Director of Media Relations, Mohammed Al-Rubaie, the goal is to make Baghdad a more beautiful and livable city. He emphasized that the success of these projects will bring positive change to regions long affected by congestion and poor services. The municipality is eager to support similar initiatives to further improve city life.

In line with Baghdad’s urban vision, the municipality has adopted a strategy centered around private sector engagement. A high-level meeting took place between the Mayor, the Investment Department, and key economic stakeholders. The goal was to explore new ways to strengthen partnerships and expand private investment in city projects.

Hassan Al-Asadi, Managing Director of Sindbad Dream Company, echoed this strategy. He noted that investment in Iraq is not limited to real estate or tourism. At its core, investment should focus on human development. He explained that true growth began when Iraq established its first school. That kind of investment—focused on people—remains the most valuable.

The new complexes also hold economic promise for areas like Sadr City and Habibiya. These districts will now benefit from a modern space that includes car showrooms and recreational facilities. Such developments will reduce chaos in local markets and eliminate fraudulent car dealings. They will also help ease traffic jams that have long plagued the neighborhoods.

Furthermore, the Al-Qanat Entertainment Complex is expected to offer new leisure opportunities for families. Its modern infrastructure symbolizes a new chapter in Baghdad’s transformation. These changes are not only cosmetic—they are practical steps that serve real community needs.

By integrating entertainment and commerce, Baghdad’s urban vision becomes more than a dream. It turns into action that reshapes the city’s future. These projects offer a glimpse of a capital where beauty, order, and opportunity meet.

the launch of these major projects reflects Baghdad’s urban vision in full motion. With continued focus on partnership and innovation, more communities across the capital can expect a brighter, more organized tomorrow.
