State Administration Coalition Condemns Sovereignty Violations and Supports Parliamentary Actions

The State Administration Coalition condemns sovereignty violations and attacks targeting Iraq’s institutions, diplomatic missions, security forces, and the Popular Mobilization Forces. These assaults occurred across several provinces on Wednesday.

Coalition members emphasized Iraq’s legal right to defend its sovereignty and maintain security. They also praised the upcoming parliamentary session on April 11, highlighting its importance in electing the country’s president.

The coalition held a meeting attended by President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Speaker of Parliament Haibat Hamad al-Halbousi, and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidan. Participants reviewed developments across both domestic and foreign fronts.

Members firmly rejected any violations of Iraq’s sovereignty under any pretext. They also opposed using Iraq’s land, airspace, or waters for attacks against other nations, particularly neighboring states.

The coalition condemned attacks targeting vital facilities in Baghdad, Basra, Wasit, Mosul, Anbar, the Kurdistan Region, and other governorates. They expressed condolences to the families of those martyred in recent brutal attacks.

Leaders reaffirmed their support for government and judicial measures to enforce the law, maintain security, and combat violent rhetoric. They emphasized managing the situation amid exceptional circumstances affecting the region and world.

The coalition welcomed parliamentary efforts and stressed the need to fulfill constitutional duties. Holding the session on April 11 to elect the president is crucial for forming a new government efficiently.

Coalition members expressed solidarity with the peoples of Iran and Lebanon amid ongoing attacks and humanitarian crises. They called for an immediate halt to aggression and urged respect for United Nations charters and international law. They praised Iraq’s proactive stance in supporting regional neighbors, following the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf’s guidance.

Additionally, the coalition congratulated the Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac communities on the Akitu Festival on April 1, celebrating Iraq’s rich cultural diversity. They also lauded the national football team for qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals, noting it elevates Iraq’s presence on the global stage.

In summary, the State Administration Coalition condemns sovereignty violations, supports parliamentary actions, and emphasizes Iraq’s domestic and regional stability. Leaders urge vigilance, legal enforcement, and unity in facing current challenges.
