Iraqi siblings win World Robotics Championship in India

Iraqi siblings win World Robotics Championship in India, bringing global recognition to their hometown of Najaf. The young duo, Muhammad Firas, aged 13, and his sister Maryam Firas, aged 16, earned first place in the “Innovation Challenge” category at the TechnoXian World Robotics Championship held in New Delhi.

The international competition featured 128 teams from 60 different countries. Despite the fierce challenge, the Iraqi siblings stood out with their groundbreaking project. Their creation, titled “Zainex: The Future Intelligence for Sustainable Agriculture,” combined artificial intelligence with robotics to address major agricultural problems.

Because of their innovative approach, the judges awarded them the top honor. Their victory not only highlighted Iraq’s emerging talent but also showed how young minds can tackle urgent global issues. Moreover, it proved that Iraqi youth are ready to contribute to international innovation and sustainable development.

However, the siblings are not stopping with their victory. Inspired by their achievement, Muhammad and Maryam are establishing a new technology club in Iraq. Through this initiative, they plan to train more than 1,000 children in programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Consequently, they aim to build a new generation of innovators who can push Iraq forward in science and technology.

The TechnoXian World Robotics Championship is recognized as one of the largest global platforms for young innovators. Participation from dozens of countries reflects the growing importance of technology in shaping future economies. Therefore, the success of the Iraqi team sends a strong message that Iraq is ready to take part in this global transformation.

Additionally, their project emphasized the urgent need for sustainable agriculture solutions. By applying robotics and artificial intelligence, the siblings showed how innovation can directly support food security and environmental balance. This approach resonated strongly with the judges and audience alike.

Ultimately, the story of Muhammad and Maryam represents more than a championship. It illustrates how determination, creativity, and vision can inspire a nation. Their accomplishment sets a foundation for future Iraqi innovators, while also showcasing Iraq’s potential on the world stage.

In conclusion, Iraqi siblings win World Robotics Championship with a project that combines sustainability, technology, and vision. Their journey is only beginning.
