Baghdad, Iraq- Gold prices saw a slight increase in Baghdad and Erbil markets on Tuesday, according to a survey of local trading data.
In Baghdad’s Al-Nahr Street wholesale markets, the price for one mithqal (approximately five grams) of 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold was recorded at 618,000 IQD for selling and 614,000 IQD for buying. Meanwhile, the price for 21-carat Iraqi gold was 588,000 IQD for selling and 584,000 IQD for buying.
In jewelry stores across Baghdad, the price for 24-carat Gulf gold ranged from 705,000 to 647,000 IQD per mithqal, while 24-carat Iraqi gold sold for prices between 590,000 and 580,000 IQD.
In Erbil, the selling price for 24-carat gold stood at 705,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold was priced at 618,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold was valued at 539,000 IQD per mithqal.
These price fluctuations reflect ongoing trends in local gold markets as demand and supply continue to shift in the region.
