Iraq’s Minister of Electricity, Eng. Ziyad Ali Fadel, led a technical meeting with ministry officials, representatives from the Central Region Electricity Production Company, and a delegation from Ethios Energy to accelerate the rehabilitation of the Al-Doura Gas Power Plant in Baghdad.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the need to quickly restore the plant’s power generation capacity to meet growing public demand. The Cabinet has given the green light to resume operations at the plant, focusing on the maintenance and rehabilitation of the second and third units. This will include replacing critical systems such as HMI systems, as well as electrical and control cables.
Ethios Energy has pledged to maintain high-quality standards, avoid cost overruns, and complete the project on time, in preparation for the increased energy needs during the summer.
